It will be the best decision you have made in your life so far.

Other than that, it's like owning a car.

Joking aside, I loved mine for years. Kinda wished I had the sedan and not the wagon (for the 1st time ever, but hear me out) because the rear self-adjusting suspension never worked and it was about $10,000 to replace. Yeah, $10,000 for a car we paid $2,500 for when it only had 120k miles.

We may in my family have 3.

They may or may not be one dark blue 300D turbo w/ auto, one dark red 240d manual beginning to rust, and a light blue 240d auto with the engine out for a rebuild.

Maybe. I'll never tell.

not true at all. That SLS pump will never die unless you drive it dry for thousands of miles. Spheres are 130$ a piece x2, take about an hour and a face full of SLS fluid to replace a piece if you DONT know what you are doing...BUT make sure you put the car on jack stands before you release the line or you are in for a surprise (car will lower itself on you). Be happy to walk you through the process. SLS valve can rebuild for $50

When my parents bought it (I was in 4th grade) it worked for a while. When it didn't, they took it to a specialist (reputable, but obviously charges more than it costs to do) and they said the pump pushed fluid around, but the system didn't quite work. There were no leaks or anything. It's been so long now, that it doesn't matter either way. It's jacked.

Related note, the car is for sale for other reasons.

Absolutely opposite. It feels like a lowrider in a jump rope competition.

SLS valve needed rebuilding or the rod that attaches it to the rear suspension was broken. Ah well, too late now!

One, if twice. Still hadn't learned the lesson on having good front tires.
